This year’s Bideford Music Days has been hailed as a fantastic weekend by organisers with four stages and more than 60 musicians performing around the town’s Victoria Park area.
In case you didn’t get the chance to attend, we’ve put together an online gallery of pictures from the two days of entertainment, courtesy of Bideford photographer Graham Hobbs.
The popular event organised by the not-for-profit RainBo Music Trust, which fundraises to host Music Days and any excess profit is used to support local music through initiative such as buying musical equipment, instruments and tuition for local schools, groups and individuals.
It all kicked off on the Saturday with the RainBo Fun Run, a colourful run, walk or crawl around the park, which is intended to raise funds towards the cost of the event.
Lucy Lowe of the RainBo Music Trust said the recent Music Days had been ‘fantastic’.
She said: “We have had some amazing workshops, the youth stage, run by Space, was bursting with young musicians, and a number of these performed on the Main Stage, too.
“This year the event had four stages – with huge thanks to the Rugby Club for allowing us to expand our event onto their grounds.
“The RainBo Music Trust would like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone that made the event possible and is helping us to realise the charities goals.
“Plans are already underway for next year’s event – which marks 10 years since we began organising this festival – we will be returning to our usual weekend next year with the event running over three days – Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 1-3.”
