The collection at Torquay's town museum is eclectic, taking in everything from samurai suits of armour to Egyptian mummies and taxidermied butterflies.

The highlight is the intriguing collection of Agatha Christie ephemera, including handwritten notes, photos and display cases devoted to the murder-mystery authors famous detectives, as well as a recreation of Hercule Poirot's art deco study.
