Rock Climbing in Devon

Exeter is home to the South West’s largest indoor wall, housed within the Quay Climbing Centre. The imposing venue makes use of the huge atrium space built into one of Devon’s largest and iconic industrial buildings – formerly the city’s electricity works and offers great fun and a real challenge for the experienced climber, or those just wanting to learn with qualified instructors.

 

Easy, medium or difficult climbs are also accessible at the Climbing Centre for children as young as 4 as well as the most experienced rock monkeys, housed within the building through Clipnclimb - an exciting themed climbing adventure. The Climbing Centre has its own café, making it a great day out for the whole family.

 

Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre also on the quayside runs both taster sessions and courses for Adults and Young people in both climbing and abseiling. Taster sessions offer the opportunity for groups to experience rock-climbing, perhaps for the first time, on real rock faces.
